Because I don't think it has NO place. Even you would agree legislation should protect it. So do I. As I said, I don't think abortions should be used or supported in every situation. Doctors need to be able to say no, if they deem a situation necessitates that, and they need to be protected when that happens.
However, I don't know of a better alternative than providing abortion, eben if it is refused say for Same Sex Selective or even coercion and a woman shows signs of self harming herself. That's obviously what we want to avoid, so I suppose abortions need to be allowed for.provision of those circumstances, even if I don't personally support it or encourage it in all circumstances.
