I had gotten pretty close to my opponent over the past few months. Weve done a lot of promo work together.

After that final exchange when he squares back up I couldnt see his eye anymore. It was just gone. Full of blood, like a horror movie.

The ref told me it was a legal punch and to hit him again, but I thought it was an eyepoke. So I stoped the fight to let them know it was an eyepoke.

Then while Im waiting for the match to restart the president of the promotion is telling me from outside the pit that it was a punch and I had just won. Considering we were promoting this fight as the winner gets a real 4-fight (six figure probably?) contract, when they called me down and raised my hand I got overcome with emotion.

I mean, they raised my hand and told me I won. Unfortunate situation overall. My opponent is okay. Im okay. Well have a rematch down the line.

You were impressive with the aggression and the high leg kicks for your age and body shape. I was laughing at your behavior after the match and moreso at the commentators reactions so none of it was intentionally mean spirited. None of us here could do what you did either so congrats man. Im sure youre feeling a bit down about the results.
