wow, that's some story. How did they even know about the 150? Do most of you think this is wrong making servers split their tip with others?a) Read the story again. The person who gave the tip announced to the entire restaurant that they were only giving it to the poster. b) What he did was wrong in most cases -- refusing to put the tip back in the 'communal jar' is a fire-able offense in almost all restaurants. The idea is that everyone else has been splitting their tips to him for the entire time. So there might be days where the same could've happened to him, but he received the benefit of said tips without deserving it.
