so, basically he's a Draconic Sorcerer, draconic blood powers slowly turning him more dragon-like.
we got to a ruin of an old battlefield of a Founder-Dragon (playing Strixhaven, the big Dragons are essentially Gods)
he came into contact with an item that transported him 700 years in the past, where he spoke to one.
he jumped into a pool of concentrated Mana, in which the change started, and was frozen like Fry in the first episode of Futurama for his friends to find him.
he might remember the old one at some point, but to start with he's gonna be a bit out of sorts
