I also appreciate how it uses OMINOUS CHORUS to more interesting effect than your standard final boss theme. That about sums it up. Its a little too abrasive for me. I can take or leave GBA crunch but this has a little too much of it for my liking. 243/4727 Revolver Alan Wake 2 - No One Left to Love https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1H4LNC3KlA I really dig the unclear meter at the start of this song, where it seems to stumble over itself. Then we have this extended note and it changes up significantly, becomingI dont know what genre this is, it feels pop adjacent but its like intimate, stripped-down vocals. Then it explodes into something fuller. A genuinely cool song! This is the first placement that, were I to rerank everything today, would probably be higher; its landing for me a lot today. Sorry Rev! To those of you (us) who arent in love with the Old Gods of Asgard songs, dont shy away from No One Left to Live its very different. 242/4726 @Disillusion One Step From Eden - Battle of Ice I https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9BFYpGqCQI This is another song I always think Im going to enjoy more than I do. Its got fun crystally bits and a very poppy melody, but the total package is less engaging for me than I think its going to be. If you gave me all 300 songs and didnt tell where any of them came from, but I knew there was a Hypnospace Outlaw in there, I would assume it was this. Theres so much 80s cheese in this. Its kind of delightful.
