I had a discussion at the bar about this. We all came up with sand worms and spice. I thought I was alone too, but none of us could explain the plot. Fun fact: The first Dune adaptation back in the 80s came with a spoiler-free pamphlet handed to you upon purchasing a ticket. It explained parts of the movie that the director never got to but were considered important for understanding the plot. That's the sign of a bad adaptation and makes you appreciate the LOTR trilogy for what it accomplished considering LOTR was also once deemed unfilmable. --- "But who prays for Satan?
