It was taking so long for the MA arc to finish BECAUSE of Murata dragging all the one page gag fights into hundreds of pages of serious shonen battling and then adding several dozen more chapters of serious yet unimportant shonen battle filler. The manga has been adding filler that wasn't in the webcomic from day one LOL. Remember that entire martial arts tournament?
