Now with drone technology we can make all kinds of weird looking flying objects that can fly like crazy because they don't have to worry about a human pilot passing out. There is a ton of development going into hypersonic missile technology both in tracking and defending against hypersonic objects and developing hypersonic missile. And you have the stealth bombers that got mistaken for UFOs in the past.
