There needs to be a poll on if the Rock the Dragon intro played during the Toonami run, because I swear I see people say it all the time but it NEVER played when I watched it. Whenever what show was on before DBZ would end, it'd go to commercials then DBZ would just instantly start with "Previously on DBZ..." with the recap, but never an intro. But now that I'm typing this out, I'm realizing it could have entirely been a local thing where my cable chose to add more commercials than letting the intro play. Although I feel like the episode recap started exactly on the half hour or whenever DBZ was supposed to play. it played on toonami for the movies and the first episode IIRC.
