He died on the 1st, this article came out on the 4th, and his death was announced on the 7th. Kinda weird.

there was a manga about making manga and there was a time where the main character was overworked and they cancelled his manga which was the reason he overworked himself. Instead of giving him a little leeway, they force you to go through these extreme conditions to keep up the schedule and the only way you'll be given some leeway is if you become successful but the time leading up to that can be extremely terrible.

Being a mangaka is physically grueling.

Pretty sure Bleach's author had to be hospitalized a couple times and his shoulder tendons were torn by the end, and wasn't One Piece's author told to start taking a week off every month because he was falling apart after going for like two decades straight?

is that why he's taking frequent breaks? I just thought he was sick and I was getting scared but its good that he is getting to the end now. I hate the idea of it ending but this means he can finally rest and be living a successful life because he'll be getting all that money for years to come. He won't need to work after that.
