hey how have you been?

its always been a habit of mine. what do you think of this situation? its actually somewhat been like this since i got the phone, but kinda worsened up since the start of the year. the 0 to 100 thing kinda fixed it for a few weeks, but now i'm hearing that was a bad idea and most pixels don't have super accurate percentages as it is, so idk. :/

i think that you are treating the situation as more serious than it is

i would only care about what the battery is doing if it stopped lasting a full day of use for me

turning it on is always going to cause it to use a lot more battery power, since that's just how that works with it needing to actually power and go through everything, which uses more processing power, which in turn just uses more power. that's just how everything works, really. max power usage at start and then it can go into idle and use less since it's able to turn things off that aren't being used.

you should also take into account that background processes can also hit the battery pretty hard. if i give my dexcom app free unfettered rein like it wants to, then it will absolutely drain the battery (and my data if not on wifi), because it wants a constant connection to dexcoms services, and this includes location data which requires use of the gps antenna, which is just a really stupid battery draining situation.
