I do think the 2024 election is the biggest near future chance of the social boards closing down since "controversy" has caused other websites to close boards. It's possible. Didn't the MAGA board get shut down because they were cheering on the Jan 6 terrorists? That was without Fandom at the helm, and since after they took over they didn't even let the politics board continue to exist at all, it's quite possible they will disable the boards around November to save the hassle of having to ban so many people. Long story short, we've been through two Trump elections without Fandom and those were bad enough. The next one's going to be even worse, and with Fandom in the picture.
