I actually think phase 4 is underrated

Phase 5 has been bad outside of guardians
I don't think we reach phase 5 yet, Did we?

It isn't they all suck. While some talented comedic route too much the others are OK, but they don't have that signature MCU cut on having an impact on the marvel universe. Eternals tried but they completely ignore that. Every time some messes with the multiverse everything goes back to normal with no consequence. The big bad got punch by regular size antman. Yes I know he's infinite, but they should had make an example of why he should be feared.

Most pre-Endgame movies didnt have much of an impact consequences either.
A lot probably didn't but we did followed the stones and some films had an impact in more way you think. Spiderman, had an impact on Tony's conscience on whether or not he even wanted to go back in time. Civil War where the avenger fell out, is the reason why infinity war was a two parter.

The end of the Eternals was a good set-up for future events. I actually put Eternals in the upper half of the MCU. Even if the characters werent worth revisiting, the ideas in the film were solid.
I hate the idea it got canceled. I do want to see what will they do with the hands in the ocean.

The Marvels being underrated.
The marvels didn't felt too serious for me. It would be one thing, if we had more of a story with photon (drawing a blank on her name.) Like for instance. Steve and Tony always had a bit of tension from the first avengers all the way up to end game. Had they went in a little further with photon needing Carol, it would have been a lot better.

I watched a great video essay a couple years ago that deconstructed anime tropes (I forget which of the essayists it was, but it was a 20+ minute video, I'm pretty sure) that talked about the problem of anime like Bleach, Naruto, and DBZ. Name-dropped a few others, I think.
It is more bleach than any of the others. After Aizen, the story dropped hard. DBZ always had a villian of the week feel. Boruto had a similar drop to me as it didn't went with the endeding promise by prophecy. I will make a topic about that.
