Having worked at a city police department we were pretty much at the mercy of the mayor who appointed the police chief, if our police chief didnt go along with what the mayor said he got voted out where is next door the sheriff was elected by the people and as long as he did a good enough job to keep his constituents happy and kept crime down he got reelected. --- Hey now. ...
