it had a generic revenge plot, with a lot of forced drama.
none of the characters really left a lasting impression on me
outside of the mythical(?) side-quests, the ones that rewarded you with abilities, armor, and/or weapons, the side stuff (besides the content where you helped your allies) was basically: follow a fox or bird, write a haiku, or chop some bamboo
the stealth sucked because the enemy AI wasn't built around it
the combat was fun, at first, but it definitely started feeling repetitive by mid game
the wind mechanic was annoying because you still had to pause to set new destinations
besides some towns, the world felt mostly empty, where your only interactions were cutting down some mongols, some dogs, or some bears
beautiful visuals, though.
