I sell on Ebay which is when I've used it, to track down packages I had shipped out myself. One was a priority with insurance while the other was media mail with no insurance and it didn't make a difference. Both times the package showed up literally the next day I submitted the request.
It's really up to you how long you want to wait. Communicate with the seller. As a seller, this means everything to me. And it's nice as a seller to get a bit of patience / grace period from a buyer. --- I've decided to put my fears behind me. I'm not going back. If you're gonna scream, scream with me ...
