So there were still a few clones at least at that point. I'd recommend getting the Switch port of 8XL if that's an option, just because it comes with all the DLC, which includes new stages, costumes for free play, a unique animal, stage themes from past entries, and the weapons that several characters end up using in 8 Empires.
