well as long as i could be one of those upgraded vampires who can stand sunlight and see their own reflection...

No such thing. There is no mythology in vampire lore that states vampires die in sunlight, and the reflection thing is they don't reflect in silver, which mirrors were backed with until modern times. The sunlight shit was invented for the 1922 film Nosferatu because the director wanted to avoid being sued by the Stoker estate (they did anyways, and he lost). In the 1931 Dracula film by Universal, he's killed when a stake is driven thru his heart. It's not until Son of Dracula (1943) that Universal decided to make him burn up in flame.

True vampire mythology is in sunlight, a vampire loses access to all supernatural powers, and they're stuck in whatever form they took when the sun comes up. So if they're in wolf form, they're stuck in it until night. Mist? Stuck in it until night.

Since no modern mirrors aren't backed with silver, all vampire would cast reflections.
