The DS Lite has the GBA slot if you want more access to games, which is a nice touch, but neither matters if you're only current goal is to play Pokemon Black. If you want to transfer pokemon from your Gen 3 games (RSE/FRLG) to Gen 4 (DPPt/HGSS) you will need a DS with the GBA slot included however.
