yea, I played the demo and fought the first boss/mini-boss thing you come across.

it just has the same old attack, strong attack, block/parry mechanic we've seen in tons of other action games, but it doesn't feel very interesting in that regard, IMO.

it feels like the mechanics of a Souls-like, but the weightlessness/lack of impact of an action title, which hurts its impact.

I felt totally different. It felt like there was impact and weight to Eve's attacks. Every hit I felt, especially the strong attacks. I could say they could work on the animations in-fight to make it more fluid, but other than that, the actual gameplay felt solid.

But theres always room for improvement. The implementation of the shield and stagger mechanic related to how you can parry them off-guard was kinda cool to me. Actually rewards you when you learn how to parry better. The downside to the fights were that when there were too many enemies off-screen, you'd get hit by a cheap shot.
