At the very least it throws a wrench in the narrative that he was a good guy with solely good intentions - which a lot of his fans seem to want to push. It shows that the idea of playing a vigilante had been on his mind before, even if that meant shooting people.

Whether that's enough to make a difference in his claims to self defense is a different story. Ideally that should've been a jury decision, not dismissed beforehand by the judge.
