Is bench compound? I mean, I guess it does more than chest, but that seems to be most of it to me.

See, I don't really know terminology. I do know from experience that switching up exercises, even ones that use the same muscles, makes me sore in a different way the next day. So clearly switching things up is beneficial to rounding out muscle build all over.
