i could never get into wildlands. i tried and i tried, but i always w/o fail would sorta lose interest at around the same part of the game each & every time.
and honestly it has been so long since i played that i dont even remember what the biggest issue was, but something about it felt shallow by comparison, like i hate to say it but i immediately think of a term along the lines of beta-like right off-hand

also Breakpoint is not a bad game at all really, i feel like its just a meme for people to say that for some reason b/c Ubisoft are dorks & AAA-studios = le epic fail these days in the eyes of most

i liked it a whole lot better than the previous 2 FarCry entries combined, at least.
i also appreciated Breakpoint a lot as well since its characters & dialogue are actually pleasantly avoidable, unlike FarCry 6 and its stupid obnoxious crap like being forced to deal with dog, Chorizo, because
Breakpoint to me was significantly more shallow than Wildlands.

It tried to be too much of a loot shooter instead of just a tactical stealth game. The AI was atrocious so you could clear every location by just camping in a corner of a room and letting enemies come to you one at a time. The world was empty and devoid of life. The life that was there was weird - I remember in one mission I did something for a Russian character, the guy had a few lines with a Russian accent and then immediately he went to a flat regular ass American English accent saying generic lines. And basic features like aircraft were completely useless - the enemy had laser precision aim and would snipe you out of helicopter cockpits instantly, and none of the missions really ever called for the use of aircraft anyway so they were an unnecessary feature, almost like what we saw between FC5 and FC6.

The worst part... was that the story just wasn't finished. Besides the fact that it sucked ass - I loved that Wildlands was written by a guy who had extensive knowledge of cartel operations, and it felt personal, you're tearing up this international drug ring one asshole at a time. In Breakpoint it's mostly this faceless enemy ("drones!"), and while that is relevant for the modern day, they failed miserably to incorporate it into a meaningful, emotionally impactful story. And it wasn't finished, like not even remotely so.
