sure Goku might be a shit dad but its mostly cause he doesnt know any better...This whole "he's too busy fighting bad guys" doesn't really work when other superhero fathers are able to balance both their fatherly and superhero duties quite well. And for the record, unlike a lot of superheroes, Goku barely does any actual bad guy fighting. He only fights the main baddie of the arc and that's it. He doesn't go around stopping burglars or the like every day. If we're talking solely Z, Goku never takes any opportunity to actually know his son when he has a chance to. In the entire year and additional week they spent together in the Cell Saga prepping for the Cell Games, Goku learned next to nothing about his son, and when he had a clear chance to make amends (be resurrected by the Dragon Balls after his second death), he skips it and nopes out of his son's life for several years. --- "Oh hey look, it's Vegeta, the son of Trunks."
