1. Any tips for getting started out? I've tried getting back into it a few times, but I get massive anxiety about building myself chasms to block out whatever corruption creep there might be, and/or, finding it out and rooting it destroying it before I can actually enjoy making a house and fishing and oh god there's just too much to doplant sunflowers or make a wall of clay on the surface and corruption won't be able to spread past it before hardmode; it can only spread along grass IIRC. If you want to make chasms, doing a few before Wall of Flesh won't be too tough. Get potion setups ready early too.
