Not sure. But kicking the ball further down the field certainly isn't it. All that does is preserve an imperfect system that only continues to harm marginalized groups.

If it were me, I say we draw a line in the sand and stop trying to act like the other side actually has any merit. There's absolutely no point in trying to negotiate with them. We continue to call them out for exactly what they are.
