Why did Hank hire the heroin addict? Because he didn't want to hire the super qualified woman who applied before him and the guy faked interest in sports. The whole point of the episode was showing how Hank was wrong for passing up on the woman and hiring a heroin addict that cant perform his duties at all. --- I'm an artist at what I do.
