So use a throwaway email that was made with a fake name if you're that paranoid.
Seriously, every company at this point is a data company first and a "whatever they're selling" company second. If that bothers you then it started a long time ago before PSN was a thing and you should flood the market with fake data.

I also don't think it's about the data. They pretty much have everything they need on you with your Steam account (probably worth more if you were forced to make one for the game). It's more likely a combination of wanting to boost their active account numbers and wanting to ban people easier. It can be annoying for developers to ban cheaters through Steam so much easier on them to force players to use a different account and ban you that way.

I use Linux, a VPN, a fork of Vivaldi centered on even more privacy and run anticheat games in a VM so they can try to access a system32 and browser history (as I watch) that does not exist.

I'm not being snippy, I'm just saying that my stance on this is that it isn't worth the hassle to me. Also, fwiw, people who are genuinely affected by this and not preferentially affected (like me) are going to get their copies bricked because PSN isn't in their country. Users on reddit are reporting the whole "pick a random address and location and just make a throwaway PSN!" have been banned for trying this in the past with other games, or recently for hd2 if they didn't buy it in the grace period AH gave everyone.

A fake email and or address hopping goes against Sony ToU sadly.
