I don't know what you're doing, but I never have rice stick to my regular stainless steel pot. Maybe you're not using enough water in the regular pot. A regular pot likely takes more water since more of the water gets boiled away.
yeah i think its the width of the pot (i own one pot and it's meant for making soups, so its pretty large) or maybe my stovetop cus on the lowest setting, it will still boil water.
i hate it, its an induction stovetop. they're supposed to be good for everything but i personally cannot stand cooking with it unless its something that requires high heat. this thing heats up FAST

Rice cookers also have a coating on the pot, there is a reason why there are usually instructions not to use metal utensils and to gently clean the pot.
oh yeah i'm super careful about it. luckily it's not teflon (plz dont use this if you can help it) but the instructions do say no metal utensils. i can't read it very well since its all in japanese and idk kanji very well.

but yeah, its my absolute favourite. any rice fanatic should own one.
