If he flips town then it tells me Corrik is more of a selfish and ego driven player than I previously gave him credit(?) for. At that point I'd see if anyone was consciously defending him, because there was absolutely no reason to do so and scum might have done it to score 'i told you so' points.

If he flips scum then yeah, I could see it being theater to separate himself and blade, but only if blade were godfather/ninja or some role that would expect to fly under the radar from a damning night action. Otherwise even as a hail mary scum play it doesn't make much sense.
