Even in Breath of the Wild it was obnoxious. Yes there were crap weapons everywhere you could pick up. But did I want to maintain my sword, bow, and shield? Monitoring them and opening up the menu to switch out broken gear? No. No I did not. --- There are a ton of misconceptions about recycling.
