Topic	So what was better? The PS1 or the N64?

But those carts really held it back, and scared away a lot of developers. As someone who was primarily on an N64 that gen and didn't get a PS1 until around 2 weeks before PS2 came out, PS1 takes this easily. Yeah the choice to stick with carts was what brought it down. I believe if the N64 had went with CD-ROMs like the PS1 it would have soundly won that gen. Kinda feel the same about Gamecube. The mini-disc meme held it back in comparison to other platforms using DVDs.
