When Seinfeld aired, CW didn't even exist. Neither did FX, plus HBO quit making original programming until around when Seinfeld ended.

The simple fact is, TV in the late 80's up to about 2000 was extremely limited. People watched Seinfeld, and still do, but that demographic is older than the Friends demo. It's for people in their 50's right now, not their early 20's.

Most of these graduates probably only know him from Bee movie or some guest spots on Curb.
