Seems like a convoluted plot. Wonder how often it happens ans doesn't get caught.

U.S. authorities alleged Babini and co-conspirator Edward Withrow III used a Swiss trustee and foreign accounts to conceal their control over shares of Endeavor and engaged in manipulative stock trading to artificially inflate the companys share price from seven cents to 25 cents as part of a promotional campaign to generate investor demand.
Babini agreed to execute pre-arranged trades with an undercover federal agent posing as an individual with a corrupt network of stockbrokers with the goal of raising at least $200,000, said the U.S. Attorneys office.
