There's a rapidly deteriorating trade war with China in the background of all this, it's simply not feasible to risk losing Israel as an ally right now in any capacity. Foreign policy will continue to be viewed in terms of pragmatic gains and losses, and nothing is likely to change that in our lifetimes.
