Trump should not be this close to Biden We're fucked in the short term for now but if Democrats take over and are able to replace Thomas and Alito in the event of their retirement/passing, you can swing the votes back to Democrats or at least more balanced. A Republican presidency next year means that you will have 5 judges appointed by Trump that are going to be on the bench for at least 40 years barring major health issues.
