I once jaywalked right in front of an approaching cop car when I was a kid. Stupid me didn't look both ways before good enough so I didn't see it. I stopped in the middle of the street scared shitless waiting for him to get out and bust me, but he just angrily waived at me to finish crossing the street and drove away. *phew*

At that time in my life getting busted for jaywalking was the last thing I needed, especially knowing how my father would've reacted.
