To me a lot of the Japanese VAs voices don't sound like they fit the characters unless the characters are obviously Asian and even then sometimes not. Which is why I prefer dub.

I feel like most Japanese VA's sound the same to me, have the same inflection and cadence.

It's like there's one Japanese Troy Baker out there doing the voices for everything.

But that's likely because I don't speak the language. Which I think more people need to check themselves on when they're watching something with subs and saying how much better the VA work is.
