This is from an invitation that I want to put tentative and write back that I might have a conflict. If you click "edit the response before sending," it lets you put tentative as well as an actual body of text to write out anything you want. Unfortunately, as you can see, the image in the top invite does not have the dropdown. So if I click tentative, it just fires off a blank tentative email back to the organizer without letting me actually write any notes. So if I wanted to add context, I'd have to write a completely separate email.

This is from a different calendar invite that I will be attending. As you can see, it DOES have the dropdown that I described above.

So the question is... why can't I "edit the response before sending" on the invite that I actually need to respond to?

EDIT: And the "respond" doesn't let me include the accepted/decline/tentative, it just replies to the email
