The first 6 digits of pi are 3.14159. Now the reason we stop there and don't go further is because 314159 is a prime number. Also note that base 10 is assumed to be the most significant base and arbitrary decimal moves are allowed. Now lets look at specific values: 1.4 is the approximate value of the higgs/z boson mass ratio, 1.13 is the z boson/w boson mass ratio (you have to read this number backwards in pi and you have to skip 4), and 0.419 is the up quark/down quark mass ratio (you have to skip over 5).
