Im replaying it and Im enjoying it so far. Its well optimized, I like the starters, there is a great variety of Pokemon, I like the characters for the most part (Hop is kinda annoying but he has character development), the Gyms are fun, I enjoy Dyanmaxing I cant really think of a big issue with the game. Maybe the endgame sucked but I dont remember. I have to get there again. I enjoy the Wild Area too. Hell, even the difficulty is decent. Its not absurdly easy like other Pokemon games.

What was the issue with these games? I remember there being a lot of hate when they came out but I dont remember why. I remember clearly why Scarlet and Violet was hated but not Sword and Shield.
