No surprise. Its a pretty low risk way to separate himself from Biden and start campaigning for 2028.

Im fine with the pardon, but Biden did it in the most politically inept way possible. It should have been part of a larger package of pardons or dropped on the last day so it wouldnt have been as big of a story.
The only thing Biden should have done different is drop full pardons for thousands of people, anyone who has ever at any time been named as a Trump enemy going all the way down to Rosie O'Donnell
