No matter how much we slice it or develop better green tech, our numbers keep increasing, so any gain is lost by the newborns growing up and consuming resources. Moving off Earth allows us to consume the resources not from Earth (ie: Moon, Mars, asteroid belt, etc). And thus we stop depleting Earth. --- Think of it this way. If we had had the green technology of today with the population size of the year 1980, we would not be experiencing climate change at all. --- "History shows again and again that nature points out the folly of man.
