That's why you focus on who you can reach. Try to find the people with reach and help them. That's what I'm doing IRL as we speak. There are ways to break through the media noise, they involve in person community building and making sure that you communicate that you see them as a full human being so they can see you the same way. That's why the number one thing that terrifies me is the impulse to disengage or to cut people off.
