A lot of it is what he said he'd do, and people have to take responsibility for it. But what he's actually doing is even worse than Project 2025 and very few people are aware of where the reality comes from. What DOGE is doing isn't what he ran on. He ran on it being an advisory body that would make recommendations that could be approved or rejected by Congress.

Instead, it's an illegal collection of tech bros stealing private data, kicking out and holding agency personnel hostage, and conducting mass illegal firings almost at random, canceling contracts, freezing funds etc. That's not Project 2025, that's RAGE (Retire All Government Employees), and it's even worse and far more illegal. It's a techno feudalist/monarchist/libertarian/fascist wet dream that is being implemented at breakneck speed, hoping that the things they break will stay broken.
