I really didn't like the name change. It was so unnecessary. At the very least though, Korriban is still the "older/ancient" name that refers to the world even in Canon. So if KOTOR or something in the ancient past gets remade in the Canon universe in some former, Korriban is hopefully the name we get. It has already been referred to as Korriban in other canon materials, established as an older name for the world.
