I remember I got a taste of the NEET life like.. a decade ago now.

Got hurt at work and had to be out for a few months and, aside from the pain, and the expense, I had a fucking blast.

Before I left to get treatment, so many coworkers were like yOuLL bE sO bOrEd YoU wOnT wAiT tO cOmE bAcK and I can say that there was not one single second when I was off work where I was like gee Id rather be at work.

Like, why the fuck would I want to go to some disgustingly low-paying job hauling groceries around (which is what led to me getting hurt), being demeaned by obnoxious customers, getting yelled at by incompetent management, etc. when I can be sleeping in, playing video games, watching movies, or fucking anything else that I want to do.

I was still living at home so I didnt have to worry about living expenses or anything which was nice.

I truly feel bad for people who dont know how to entertain themselves without work. Like that just seems like such an absolute miserable way of living to me (though in fairness, Ive only ever known shitty work, never been able to grab a good job).
