| Bane_Of_Despair 05/28/25 10:27:05 PM #17: | I'll do an album nomination first, went through a few but settled on a classic that hasn't been hit upon yet Deftones - White Pony (As an aside I'm going to note that on streaming services this should be the 20th anniversary edition that starts with the song "Feiticiera", as originally intended on release instead of the tacked on "Back to School (Mini Maggit)" that was created due to their label afterward and not needed. But if using the 20th anniversary edition just do the main songs on the album and not the remixes) https://youtu.be/WPpDyIJdasg?si=TxOTj5MCPTb7bOgZ Technically not my absolute favorite of their albums but it's become known as their most iconic so I figured it would be the best one to go with, it really changed the game for nu-metal and its "authenticity" in the music scene. The band took on and expanded on a number of influences first shown on their previous album Around the Fur, incorporating elements of trip hop and shoegaze into their brand of alternative metal and nu-metal. Absolutely is a staple now and has influenced countless bands at this point. --- You were the cancer, that's all you'll ever be I really messed up this contest, but azuarc gave it a Breath of fresh air ...
