| Topic | It's 2025. The Last Jedi hate is way overblown |
| Hinakuluiau 06/07/25 12:57:03 PM #26: | It's a cycle that we've seen before and will see again. ROTJ was hated on release by nerds who complained about Jabba's Palace taking forever and that Ewoks were too kiddy. Fast forward 15 years and people put it on the same level as the other two. The prequels were hated on release by nerds complaining about the Space Politics, the acting, how the Jedi didn't hold up to what they had built up in their heads, the entirety of the Clone Wars, the blue/green screens, Jar Jar, etc. Fast forward 10 years and it's beloved by many people. The same thing will happen with the sequels. People who like TLJ have been arguing in support of it for years just like the people who defended ROTS on these very boards back in the 2000s. We're seeing people defend TFA. We're even seeing people point to the current admin as why the Palpatine asspull isn't really that bad for TRoS and defending it. Kids who grew up with the prequels are now adults who prefer it to the originals. The same thing is going to happen to the sequels. --- There are some things where I just bypass critical thinking. - ROD ... Copied to Clipboard! |
