Mhm, this is the crux of my narrative praise and responsible for that 'even in isolation' bit. For me, Celeste is certainly the most ludonarratively engaging and effective game I've ever played, to the point it's more than mildly impacted my life. ...part of that potency is because I'm simply not good at platformers, but still.

Maybe I'll even write more about it if it makes the Switch list (though the PC version is my first and favored) and if I feel like rambling; am undecided as of yet.

And thank you for gathering and posting the list and coordinating write-ups, tazzy! Have really enjoyed following along and also am rather regretting not participating for a few past platforms, especially the DS.
